Vietnam ANZAC Tour 5 Days 4 Nights - Aussie & Kiwi

Veteran tour of Vietnam - features: Australian and New Zealand war veterans are always welcome in our country. For our Vietnam military tours, we recognize the importance of understanding the significance of the operations that took place during the war. - We value in-depth knowledge of the various areas of operations, such as the battle of Long Tan, so we use specialist English-speaking local guides for each area you wish to visit. Wherever feasible, we endeavor to locate Vietnamese veterans and civilians with first-hand knowledge of relevant wartime events.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL HO CHI MINH CITY
  • Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City, we will meet and take you to your hotel and start Vietnam ANZAC 5 Days 4 Nights Day Tour, check-in and today is free at your leisure to rest or explore, discovering your own first impressions of VietnamOvernight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Inclusion: Transfer, guide,  hotel.

DAY 2: HO CHI MINH CITY - MEKONG DELTA (BREAKFAST/LUNCH)
  • 08.00am, travel by car to My Tho – 9.30am board a wooden motor boat to Unicorn Island. On this boat along the river’s bank, you’ll be passing through natural creeks and quiet villagesand watch rural people going to work. You will see an interesting fishermen's portstilt houses. One of the boat’s stops during this trip is at a large orchard that has many different types of tasty tropical fruits for your enjoyments
  • Another boat stop is for the Turtle Island 1 hr from the previous one. Here, on a small row boat, you’ll see interesting transportation modes that local people use to move around. From there, we’ll take you to a bee farm where you have a chance to taste a tasteful cup of authentic honey tea while checking out the folk music that is typical to only the people in Southern Vietnam.
  • After that we’ll take you to a village where you can smell the flavor of coconut candies being made many yards away. This is a great chance to witness how village people make candy and handcrafted items from coconuts. You might learn that those people can amazingly make dozens of useful products out of coconut trees. As your journey ends, you will return to My Thoby motorized boat and then transfer back Ho Chi Minh City.
  • Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 3:HO CHI MINH CITY - VUNG TAU (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
  • 08.30am - 09.00am we will visit War Crime Museum (This museum tells the story of war from the Vietnamese perspective. Exhibits include photographsmachinery, and weapons that depict the harsh realities of war).
  • Thien Hau Temple (One of the most important pagodas in the city, this richly decorated temple is dedicated to Thien Hauthe Goddess of the Sea and patron of sailors. She is said to travel overthe oceans on a mat and ride the clouds to wherever she desires).
  • China town (Settled in the late 18th century, this labyrinthine section of Ho Chi Minh Citybustles with restaurantstemplesexotic stores, and markets) and Binh Tay market (This isthe main marketplace in China Town, where a great deal of wholesale trading occurs. Experience the commotion of this integral part of the city's daily business). Then we have a lunch at restaurant.
  • Afternoon:We visit Reunification Hall which was the residence of the President Ngo Dinh Diem of the former South Vietnam until 1975 (1960s - Apr 1975s). You will see many interesting things: formal meeting rooms, private bedrooms, war situation rooms 10 meter beneath earth’s level.
  • This address today still holds many important functions in Ho Chi Minh City. We have guide who speaks your language to tell you important historical facts about this building and some Frenchcolonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral (Located in the heart of the city, this cathedral was built by the French in the late 1877s. A large statue of the Virgin Mary greets you as you walk into this neo-Romanesque cathedral, adorned by two tall spires flanking either side).
  • General Post Office (Designed by Gustav Eiffel, the Post Office is a testament to the Frenchpresence in the late 1800s. The look and feel of this grand building is like an elegant railway station).
  • City Hall (Find out why this is one of the most photographed buildings in Ho Chi Minh City. Constructed in the early 1900sCity Hall is a beautiful example of French colonial architecture). Finish Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City Tour at 04.30 pm.
  • After that, we will transfer you to Vung Tau. On the way, you have dinner at the local restaurant.
  • Stay overnight in Vung Tau.

DAY 4: VUNG TAU - LONG TAN - NUI DAT - HO CHI MINH CITY (BREAKFAST/LUNCH)
  • At 4.00am, transfer to Long Tan. After 45 minutes, we arrive at Long Tan cross site. At5.00am, have Dawn service with Consulate and the others in about 1 hour. We have breakfast at a local restaurant. The rest of the day we will visit the Horseshoe and the Long Phuoc Tunnels.
  • After lunch, visit Nui Dat (SAS Hill) and the Ba Ria Orphanage.
  • Back in Ho Chi Minh City at 6.00pm. Over night in Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 5: HO CHI MINH CITY - DEPARTURE (BREAKFAST)
  • Breakfast at hotel. Depending on your flight you may have sometime for some more shopping. Then we will transfer you to the airport for your flight home or extend your trip to the Central/ North of Vietnam.Finish Vietnam ANZAC 5 Days 4 Nights Day Tour.
